Maribelis Ruiz PhD, Principal

Maribelis comes to Advent-Morro from big-pharma and academia. Prior to Advent-Morro, Dr. Ruiz worked as a Medical Liaison with Abbott Laboratories and 3M Pharmaceuticals, developing expertise in Oncology, Immunology, Virology, and Dermatology. In this role, she managed the US South-Central region and Puerto Rico, identifying collaborative opportunities for the clinical development of an Oncology pipeline. Maribelis holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences-Cancer Biology from the University of Texas Houston- MD Anderson Cancer Center and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez Campus, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She conducted postdoctoral research at Baylor College of Medicine.
