Mariel Lama, Senior Associate
Ms. Lama comes to Advent-Morro with over five years of investment banking experience and representative transactions that include a diverse mix of deals ranging from $40mm to over $4bn. Prior to joining Advent-Morro, Ms Lama worked at J.P. Morgan in the Consumer, Healthcare, and Retail Group based in New York where she advised clients on strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, and other financing alternatives. From 2003 to 2004, Ms. Lama worked at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where she was a founding member of the Bank’s Corporate Finance & Advisory Services Division, focusing on M&A advisory, loan syndications, derivatives and structured finance transactions. Ms. Lama began her career in 2000 as an Analyst in Citigroup’s Global Corporate & Investment Bank in Puerto Rico. Mariel was a J.P. Morgan MBA Fellow and graduated from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia in 2006. Ms Lama also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. |
